Barnes & Noble recommends the recycling of e-waste -- electronic equipment that is nearing the end of its useful life. Recycling promotes resource conservation and reduces potential impacts to the environment.
Several states currently mandate the recycling of certain electronic devices, including eReaders. In some states, Barnes & Noble participates in an electronic recycling take-back program managed by the Electronics Manufacturer's Recycling Management Company, LLC, (MRM). In certain other states, Barnes & Noble participates in the recycling program run by that state agency.
